Congradulations on passing the tests! I got my Extra before they started doing away with the 13 and 20wpm code tests. Now I just need to keep up my practice.

Take Care,

Congrats on passing the test. The Kenwood is a fine radio. Here's a list of frequencies that will get you started.

I appreciate this link. I've been trying to find something this in depth.
Thanks

G'day, Mate. Congrats from down under. If you get a Pactor modem, you can get detailed charts from www.GRIB.US and have free email as well. The modem's a bit pricey, but there aren't a lot of options. Cheers.

You don't necessarily need the modem. You can use WINMOR (soft modem). No guarantees on speed and reliability. You may need to tweak and play.

Icom SSB

Does anybody know if I can tune an ICOM M600 SSB radio into the Ham frequencies if the appropriate surgery is done? I have not operated for a LONG time. WB1CLM (White Boy One, Caucasian Ladies Man) but have an SSB radio on board, so don't want to replace it if I don't need to.

Thanks,

S. Waterman

The M600 can be modified to transmit on all frequencies and for LSB.
