Help, ICOM 706 MKllG, licensing issues

I have been trying to get Industry Canada to register all the radios on my boat so that I can get sailmail. My ICOM 706 MKllG, that came with the boat, has the FCC approval number but does not have the sticker with the Industry Canada (IC) number. Has anyone in Canada registered this model and do you have the IC number that you can pass on? Have contacted ICOM and they passed my email to someone and they have not gotten back to me.

Thanks for any help with this.

Hey Flyboy, do you have a "ham" license ? You can't even use that radio without one. I wish I could be more help, but I'm not sure what you want to accomplish. I don't know what "Industry Canada" is... OK, did some web looking up stuff.
What you have there is not a marine radio. It's a Ham radio. Different rules 'n stuff. You will have to look up Ham Radio Licensing in Canada. With that radio, you don't licence it, you license yourself - as a station. You, yourself, get a call sign. Mine it KB1MIQ, for example. That call sign is my station license ID. that allows me access to certain radio frequencies. Hope that helped.
