I had the feeling Google might be trying something, but I thought it would be with satelites.

Lets hope this works, or its development leads to other ways of solving the global internet reach.

the farmer was interesting... the first thing he looked up when he was connected was the weather!!

The base stations having to be every 100 miles is a problem for the oceans, though. It would mean coastal waters are covered better, but not deep ocean.
