Furuno NN3D After Sales Services

I bought my NN3D in June 2008. A few months ago while sailing my log was reaching 9,999 NM. and instead of going to 10,000NM it resetted to 00,00NM and since then stayed on Zero.
I have been emailing FURUNO USA, FURUNO FRANCE ( the place where I bought from) and other Furuno countries and until now nobody is answering me...
My NN3D also resets by itself without no reason...
I have ver. 2.02
Does anybody have similar problems?
any solution?
I'm very dissapointed by the after sales service of FURUNO!

Furuno Contact and Tech Support

Rolando,
While I cannot help you with the NN3D issue, I can help with Furuno contact.....
Actually, in the few instances I've had contact with Furuno directly, I've found them to be pretty responsive.....

In my experience Furuno has very nice customer support, although some may think old fashioned since it is human, telephone based......but I like it...
Even if they're busy and cannot take your call on the spot, if you leave a message they will call you back....
Late last year, I needed some paper for my FAX-408, and except for e-bay was not finding any.....a quick phone call to Furuno and I had the paper in my hands in a couple days and cheaper than I found it on ebay....
What I'm trying to imply here is that e-mail requests may get overlooked, but they will respond to phone calls.....
So, if you have access to a phone, give them a call and you should get some answers...

Here in the US, I've found both the Denton and Camas offices to be helpful, with Camas handling more of the commercial product support and Denton having more of a recreational marine focus.....

Here's some contact info...

Thanks a lot John
I did get a quick reply from Furuno USA but they didnt know how to solve the problem and told me they will pass the message to the technical team.... and then nothing. Everytime I would send them a reminder they would tell me they're still waiting for a reply... After more than a month waiting they told me to contact Furuno France ..
I've been waiting in vain since beg. December 2009..
Furuno France never even cared to answer me... and I bought all my electronics from there! At least Furuno USA did answer me...
We're crossing to the Marquesas tomorrow... So hopefully when we get there
I will have something positive on my email!
thanks again!

Diligence with pestering them on the telephone payed off for us. After going through the tiers of customer support "I don't like the answer your giving me, I'd like to speak to your manager". My wife was able to have fees dropped, a year added to warranty, and a year old service call that we paid for, reimbursed. The central service line also played meditor when the local service tried to bill us for travel to docks. Don't let them off the line, ask them to connect you to technical support so you can pose your question yourself.
