Furuno GPS Chartplotter
Hello everyone, I have a question about the Furuno GPS Chartplotter. My husband is the lead mechanic for a tugboat company here, and they threw out a Furuno system because it wasn't working. My husband brought it here to Echo, and the only thing that was wrong was the fuse was blown on it. They use this system in all their tugboats here and I'm wondering how well it is on a sailboat, i.e., weatherproof, etc. It is a GP-1650W, with C-Map NT. The website for them was a little too vauge for me, I'm not a good "techie", so any info will be helpful.
