I've used some of their military products for various applications. We've found multiple other uses for them besides what we originally purchased it for!

Our neighbour on a trawler has a Flir system. He's on the fence about its value.

I've plenty of experience with military optics. I'll wait another 5 years for the cost and performance to make me keen to adopt.

Flir owns Raymarine. That may be a turn on or a turn off.

If I bought a boat that had it, I wouldn't likely take it out, but I sure wouldn't buy it, and I am very familiar with both light intensification and thermal imaging, I just don't see a need that justifies the expense.
