Re: "Fixed Position Lost" Raymarine E120W

11.6V sounds a bit low, although the Raymarine spec is 9-18V for Seatalk mode, it depends on what the main battery volts were at the time it was measured. If the main was only 12.0V then the wiring is possibly OK but if you had 12.7V or more and the GPS was getting only 11.5V I would be looking for where the losses are coming from as it maybe that the volts are dropping further for short periods which causes the GPS to falter.

Glad you have a working backup. Fair winds to you.

Re: "Fixed Position Lost" Raymarine E120W

Hi all. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. The problem with the "Lost Position Fix" has been solved by changing out the Raystar 75 with a new RS150 GPS head. That was it. Now so many satellites it makes my head spin!

Something else learned though was the DSM300 sounder (also playing up) has been a real dud of a product, especially if made in Mexico. Ours got a firmware update today and is much better behaved.
