Finally - A Great RF Ground Material

OK, folks. Here it is!

Graphene. 100 times stronger than steel. Better conductivity than copper. Only 1 atom thick. Make it in your own blender (well, almost).
  • Graphene is a form of carbon that exists as a sheet, one atom thick
  • Atoms are arranged into a two-dimensional honeycomb structure
  • Discovery of graphene announced in 2004 by the journal Science
  • About 100 times stronger than steel; conducts electricity better than copper
  • Touted as possible replacement for silicon in electronics
  • About 1% of graphene mixed into plastics could make them conductive
Read all about it here: BBC News - Graphene 'wonder material' made with kitchen blender

Or, can I just add some Graphene to the resin and build my own "conductive" hull fiberglass boat???

In all seriousness....I wonder what the conductivity is at RF??

John,

Easy to work out. Buy a bunch of #1 pencils at Staples, and break out your wife's mixer!

I'm trying to find out where to place my order :-)
