Having lived on board in Luperon, D.R. you can get DirectTV there but the satellites are very low on the horizon and intervening mountains, etc. can prevent you from receiving anything. Also most DirectTV in the D.R. is "bootlegged" as the
service is not authorized for use there. Also since the
satellite is so low to the horizon getting a signal on the small
antenna is difficult. Look at the dishes on top of the Luperon Yacht Club and you can see that they are rather large.

Puerto Rico you are back "in" but again the
USA DirectTV satellite is just too low and far away. DirectTV itself recommends you try DirectTV Latin America for
