Depth and Wind data dropping

I recently put a Simrad EVO-2 9" chart plotter with a P-79 in-hull transducer and Garmin gWind wireless unit on our boat. (NMEA 2000)

Initially all worked fine. However the last two times we've had her out the depth started to cut in and out. Sometimes it is out for only a few seconds, other times for minutes at a time. Nothing I do seems to affect when it comes on/goes out. Same thing with the gWind. However, if I reboot the NMEA network it 'usually' will come back.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should look for to fix these issues?

(I have checked all the connectors, made sure they are tight. I do remove the Simrad when we are not there, however.)

Thanks!

Re: Depth and Wind data dropping

Hi,

Did you get anywhere with your data loss issues?

I have a similar issue, working with Raymarine ST1 and STNg networks, and I'd love to hear how you fixed yours?
