Dept transducer install

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the effect of a wet bilge on a depth transducer is ?

My (usually dry) bilge got very wet recently and the transducer was submerged.

Are they built to handle this ?

(I cant easily test it as the head/display unit has had unrelated damage)
