Connecting Maretron and Ancor N2K connectors

I know N2K best practices suggest using all the same brand connectors. However, I already have Ancor Tees and drop cables. It turns out I need to split the backbone into three segments using field attachable connectors. I bought an Ancor Field attachable connector and it has pins requiring soldering of the wires in a very small space. It does not look easy. On the other hand, the Maretron connectors have color coded screw connectors, which sound much easier. They are metal and would attach to the Ancor plastic tees. I would think they would still be compatible but was wondering if anyone can confirm?

In my network I have a Garmin plotter, Raymarine depth and speed running to a Seatalk - SeatalkNG converter and a Simrad AP with compass, rudder, computer and controller.

All connected using a Simrad backbone and T's, Raymarine cables from the converter, generic cable to the Garmin plotter and Maretron field connectors. All is very happy so far but haven't had it properly soaked in salt spray yet.

That's good to know. All connections will be in very dry places, so I don't see that as an issue.

The only exposed connection on my system is the plug to the back of the plotter at the helm. Not sure how that will do over time but guess I'll find out.
