Chart Table Light

Hi all...

I'm in the process of re-jigging my Nav Station, so thought I'd splash out on a decent light. It needs to be both red and white light and easy to operate.

I've used many different types over the years, but none really seem to tick all the boxes... any recommendations ??

I can highly recommend the Dr. LED Cobra bi-color chart light. Have had mine for a couple of years, and love it. A bit expensive ($79 street) but worth it for a quality piece of gear.

Re: Chart Table Light

I switched over to all led over last 2 years using marinebeam.com They have
a good rep and found Jeff very helpful.
These led's will withstand the flux in voltage we sailors deal with
with charging and discharging our batteries. Many led's do not and shorten their life
considerably.
I used my existing fixtures with socket adapters and red/white switchable led bulbs
(g4 led bipin led bulbs) Put in red/white switchable led's in just about every other
fixture on boat insuring night vision while under way or during night at anchor. And very easy to operate, just switch toggle within 3 seconds
to switch from red to white.
Sure they sell entire fixtures as well. Think there is discussion here and/or on sailnet
on marinebeam, worth while checking into.
