change in solar panels

Still very new as a sailor (mono) but got a 25 ft laguna, windrose. had to replace the 2- 35 amp batteries. I want to replace the 6 watt solar panel (about the size of the old etch-a-sketch) with a 40 wat briefcase style foldable panel. This boat only has just the basics with lights all being replaced with led.
I am not sure but heres the question. At 40 watts, will I have to worry about "frying" the wires??

Any thoughts are greatly welcomed.
