Cell phone x Autopilot

Hi,

Maybe they were very improbable coincidences but my autopilot (Raymarine ST1000+) deactivated it self a few times when I got a message, a call or made a call and was sitting close to it.
I've searched Raymarine's website and Googled all over and couldn't find any answer.

Did any of you have this kind of problem?

It's a well known problem that I should be aware of?

Of course I linked to the flight safety instructions and everything but I neglected the possibility when in another environment.

Tks,

Re: Cell phone x Autopilot

I have had that happen with my VHF on an old RM 800 tiller pilot. The VHF was 5 watts. Your cell phone was much closer then my VHF antenna and the frequency much higher so the energy density may have been similar. Not surprising this happens given the case of the ST1000 is not conductive or shielding.
