Calibration for a i50 Tridata

So I replaced a bad ST600 tridata with an i50. The speed reading was off from the GPS on the chartplotter. I had to set the calibration factor to 1.40 to get the two devices in rough agreement. Is this reasonable, or is something funny?

BTW, I cleaned the speed sensor, greased the the axle and the o-rings and made sure the sensor was all the way down.
