They are in there, just not enabled. There are over 300 channels in that radio. Most with preprogrammed frequencies, many that can be programmed with frequencies that can typically be up to 10Mhz outside of the marine band. There are lots of channels between 28 and 50 that are used in the UK.

I know the ICOM's are programmable especially the M802, but you'll need the CS-M802 software and communication cable. You can also have a technician do the modification.

I found prices to be better there but sorta difficult to find a cheap delivery service. All in all local selective shopping prove the cheaper way.

The 802 is an HF radio and the CS-M802 is only for that radio. BTW, there are two versions of that software as there are for the M504 VHF. The older versions will not work with newer radio's. It might be a crap shoot trying to get software off the Internet as new versions come out when the radio firmware is upgraded by the manufacturers.
