Man it is complicated.
I took a look at wordpress and found it difficult to work with.
Weebly by comparison I found to be simple and logical.

Thats an individual setting within my blog, all the pics load as thumbnails to make it quicker, I could get them to load big, In fact I will try that on one of the pics just to check.

Re: Blog Hosting

I think you will find the functionality and capability of the content management systems light years ahead of the blogs.

Minsy looks good

I find the blogs flustrating with thir navigation systems.

You can select from lots of templates or have yours made and add extra nav pages, catagries at wim.

Re: Blog Hosting

Two things I wanted to add:
1) Simple photo uploading/blogging: Windows Live is one of a number of offline blog post editors that allow you to write your post, format your pictures and then upload the post (including the pictures) in one click rather than uploading the pics first and then finding the links or resizing. It will resize, crop and do a few basic color mods. I know there are others but this is the one I use and am familiar with.
2) SSB-to-blog: Last time I looked you had to have a paid account to email-to-blog (SSB) on Sailblogs and it is a free feature in Blogger (and I believe Wordpress). Sailblogs seems to have cooler mapping features (although I haven't looked into those extensively).

Re: Blog Hosting

I'm wondering why nobody mentioned what I selected because it's very popular: TypePad for the blog and SmugMug for the photo's. Both paid services so no limits, no ads etc. Never saw anything better yet.

cheers,
Nick.
