B&G Hydra 330 System (J37) Repair, Refurbish, Replace?

We purchased a 1990 J37C in August 2015. Since it was so late in the season, we didn't have an opportunity to do thorough testing of the electronics, and were only concerned with the basics. We did have a survey done, but whether or not they worked well was undetermined. It also wasn't possible our second season since it seemed some of the wires and system elements hadn't been reconnected properly when it was relaunched in June. The cockpit and mast-mounted displays are difficult to read and several have moisture under the glass.
We're looking for someone within 100 miles or so of Ithaca, NY, who could work with us in refurbishing, repairing or replacing the electronics needed. Best would likely be an entire new system, but we're not sure. We've seen J37s here and there for sale that mention Raymarine electronics systems, is that the way to go?
We believe the boat has its original electronics, which include:
B&G Hydra 330 System - Depth, speed, log, timer, apparent & true wind speed, velocity made good, opposite tack, true wind direction, barometer, sea temperature, compass, depth alarm;
B&G 740 auto pilot
B&G Super Halcyon 3 Fluxgate compass.
Most important to us has been the depth display and that has worked.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I'd try and save the autopilot and replace the rest. This will save you a good chunk of money and the AP is a good quality one. First decision is do you want a chartplotter. For most cruising the answer is yes. Make a decision on the chartplotter brand and then use the same vendor to add wind/speed/etc. There are lots of vendors out there, many probably better than Ray.

I used to own and cruise a J/37 - fun boat to sail.
