Question Autohelm ST59+ Depth

Hi all
I wonder if somebody in the community could help me.
I'm new owner of a sailboat equiped with Autohelm instruments (depth, wind, speed with repeater inside the cabin). All these instruments works well.
My problem is: There is an alarm on the depth sounder for Shallow/Deep and for Anchor low/Anchor deep. This alarm is on OFF position and I cannot put it at ON. I have the manual and it seems quite tricky to set it as I had some experienced friends that also tried using the manual to set it ON and they didn't succeed.
I'm trying in the forum hoping that somebody has the same system.
I'm in the Bahamas and sounder is essential here and the alarm would be very usefull. If somebody can help me it would be very appreciated.
Michel

Yes theres a weird thing with it so you have to turn it on twice. Once in the set up and then one in the normal keypad mode.

Its crazy, no wonder they are going broke.
