Auto Pilot Wind input for Navico WP5000

I found a wind vane that has a 1/4" phone plug with three contacts.
This is what the Navico WV2 uses. I think that the WP4000 uses this arraignment and I am hoping to connect it to my WP5000. I am a little conservative when it comes to hooking up unknown electronics so I would like some information before I start.

Does anyone have the pinout for the connector on the back of the WP5000 unit? This is where the JB5000 or the WC3 connects according to my manual.

Does anyone have information on the WV2 or the WV3? I am curious how they do this with only 3 wires so schematics would help.

Connector sources, voltages, pinouts and schematics would be great as well.
I fixed my Datamarine masthead wind unit a few years ago, but that didn't need wires, just a new bearing.
