Anybody out there using an old lowrance lms337cdf ?

I just installed a lowrance lms337cdf chart plotter / fish finder that came with the boat when we bought it. Teeny little thing , but free is good. Bought the avionics maps for the west coast USA , and the charts are pretty good.
I have a couple different avionics apps for android and my iPad , that will allow you to build a route and export it to a google earth .kmz file. I have tried using gps babel to convert the .kmz file to a lowrance .usr file , but I think the file format that gps babel outputs , must be for a newer lowrance format or something. When I try and use the load from mmc function on the chart plotter , it shows briefly a status bar , and nothing really transfers to the memory in the unit.

The has to be an easier way than the cursor and fifteen zillion zoom in and outs on that tiny screen , to get a route in to memory , that you built offline. Manual shows using mapcreate software , but this is no longer available from lowrance :/.
I plan to update to a Garmin system soon , but if anybody is having any success making this work , I'd sure appreciate knowing how you are doing it.........

Otherwise , I guess it's back to zooming and cursoring fir a while

Thanks in advance , Bob
