Re: Any tips for swapping out a radar antenna?

Drilled too many holes in my mizzen mast getting the damn cable with connector pulled... and it was too short to reach the helm. So I thought if I put the old e7d at the nav table, the radar cable would reach that, and then I would network the e127 and e7d together.

WRONG! It doesn't work like that! You've got to buy a $300 box and a few $150-$200 cables!

So I ended up cutting off the connector I lost much blood sweat and tears over, instead of buying a $189 "radar extension cable" and running it to the helm that way. Easy splice job and less than $5 in parts.

That's the way it goes sometimes.You stuck with it & got it done.
