Ditto to the suggestion for a swipe function to change screen. It is so tedious to go back to a home screen and search through a menu to find a new display.

Also what about an anchor watch and wifi connection so I can just lie in bed and check my data

No this uses a signalk server as data source so you would install that (on a raspberry Pi) and connect over wifi.

So, more complicated than simply dragging a tablet aboard: SignalK server. Raspberry Pi. Actisense USG-1 and NGT-1 for an existing mixed network.

Assumes individual sensors exist. Would have thought individual sensors would already be connected to a display.

What's the tablet advantage?

They are commodity hardware (so they don't cost 5,000 GBP) and you can take them anywhere on the boat.

I would appreciate:

- wind speed and dir tendency graphs (over time),
- full screen AIS display (plain 'radar' view),
- the app to work in both vert and horiz,
- route / WPT graphic "chart" screen (like seen on Garmin 72, etc).

Frankly, having Garmin72-like functionality on Android screen would be a fine thing and yet no one has made an app like this yet. Odd.

The NSS8 MFD has an anchor alarm but it's terrible. Can't adjust anchor location, can only drop anchor point at current location, can't edit alarm distance without resetting the whole alarm + drop

More widgets...., another wifi network....
A lot of people already have wifi onboard with all data readily available (either 0183 or 2000 - i.e. Vesper XB000 (which by the way already has an Android app for the AIS plus basic other info))

It would be awesome if the app is hardware agnostic and able to use any available wifi stream.

Good luck with this. If the hardware doesnt make it impractical (for me impractical means what you propose at this point), i definitely will pay for this app.
