AM/FM Radio Antenna Install

This is obviously just the rx antenna for the stereo unit.
I've been told I can just link it up to some of the standing rigging that runs past that area.
Any issue with this in terms of voltage leakage or electro-corrosive action ?

No, that will be fine, the antenna input to the set is capacitively coupled so there is no DC connection to cause corrosion. A dedicated antenna will work best, but connecting to available rigging will work fine. Actually, the wire going to the rigging will probably do most of the receiving.

For best FM stereo reception and range I used a coax switch and two short male-male coax cords to connect to the masthead VHF-FM antenna. Since FM is pretty much line of sight the higher location will pull in a lot more stations.

Have not read any tests on potential signal loss across a coax switch but subjectively do not see any difference in range on the VHF. Just in case, the switch and cords are right next to the VHF and it's less than a minute to unscrew the switch and connect the antenna back to the VHF directly.
