The radar on TN was purchased as a new demo for $1,000. Most of us have budget restrictions. And Terra Nova is 33 years old; not sure what age has to do with electronics requirements. The newer radars are so small and light--that shouldn't stop someone.

No, I was taken back by the imposition of making a choice between the two.
