AIS loosing targets

We have a Raymarine C120 connected to a AIS Garmin 300 receiver. The Raymarine C120 periodically loose the target when target gets into a distance of 1/2nm.

The VHF antenna is on the top of the mast and connected to the AIS which is connect to a ICOM VHF which is connected to the Raymarine C120 through Raymarine Interface E85001.

The ICOM VHF works fine.

So far I have replaced the VHF antenna and the cable from the mast.

Anyone tips on what can be wrong ?
