| 2m Using Marine VHF Antenna?
I'm wondering if anyone has ever used a marine VHF antenna with a ham 2m rig? Someday I will probably get around to taking my 2m rig to my boat, hooking it up to the antenna, and measuring SWR, just to see how bad it is. But 146mhz is not all THAT far from 157mhz, so I'm hoping that it will work. Or do I need a separate antenna for 2m? (Understanding that I'm willing to trade off some antenna efficiency for convenience, and that I'm a relative newbie at this ham radio stuff so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about!) |
