Yanmar Alternator

What would the equivalant of a Yanmar altenator be for a YM30 Yanmar engine.

I believe there are less than 1/2 a dozen "common" alternator frames that are used by companies. I believe the alternators that Yanmars use are Hitachi. If you contact an aftermarket alternator company with the criteria your alternator has, they can help you.
-How many mounting ears
-measurement between the ears.
-pulley diameter and single or double sheave.

Most likely you will want close to the same amperage. If you go too large, the belt may tend to slip easier.

Moogli, Celestialsailor is correct. Contact a starter & alternator specialty shop. I just bought a replacement 80a alternator for my 4jh3e from one here in the SF Bay Area called ASC Alternator-Starter.

If you want to duplicate the stock alternator, I have two that have never been used.

Not really sure what they are worth, but I'm sure we could work something out.
