Sadly, this article could have been written about any country in the world. How do you tell starving populations not to overfish? How do you prevent industrialized countries from exploiting their natural resources or those of others for economic gain? Overpopulation is the real problem. We are suffocating the earth to the point of extinction*. The least capable countries are producing the most offspring and creating dead zones of poverty, ignorance, war, famine and the rapid destruction of natural resources. The most capable ignore or deny the true reality. Our oceans are just a part of the larger picture. Enjoy what we have today because the future is certain and unavoidable.

current population of the earth is 7 billion and growing.
