Winter...

As I sit here in Nova Scotia, we have had our first bit of snow today. It seems winter has come overnight.
This is day one and I don't think I will make it.
I know this is early in the season but, anyone else sick of the northern life?

Re: Winter...

Oh, heck yeah I'm sick of the northern life. I'm in NORTH Florida and it's gotten down to the low 40's with a windchill in the low 30's allready. I need to move further south!

Re: Winter...

I'm in NS too, but managed to avoid seeing any white stuff. If I didn't see it--it didn't happen. I'm still acclimatizing to being in cool temps and I'm not happy about it. Ten days ago I was on the boat in the sunshine & +27 C. Now I'm home & the boat is up.

It's gonna be a really long winter .....

Re: Winter...

If it's zero degrees outside today and it's going to be twice as cold tomorrow, exactly how cold is it going to be?

What is the origin of the term 'brass monkey'? - Oxford Dictionaries

That's only a conundrum if you are referring to degrees Kelvin.
