Re: Who are your favourite boat bloggers / vloggers?

One of my heroes is Janice142.com. She is a feisty grandmother living on a small trawler and doing it all on less than $15 a day. She is a lifelong boater with great wisdom that she happily shares with anyone who reads her blog. She is a terrific writer and teacher. I visit her site often.

I get HUGE kick out of Karen and Jim's Excellent Adventure. Karen is a hoot, and a ridiculously accomplished sailor.

And they have a naughty word in their web address.

I am addicted to the video blogs, too. I'd like to try doing it, too, but I'm worried my video editing skills are lacking.

But, just about the same as my list! Team Giddyup is the only I didn't have. I'll have to check them out!

What an awesome list guys.

I've checked out every single recommendation here - most of which was added to my list of what to read/watch.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Re: Who are your favourite boat bloggers / vloggers?

Some great lists here! I really do like yacht teleport. Those guys are very down to earth and are sailing in my home turf Alaska! Love to plan a trip like that in the future.

We just started but are stoked to keep going!

Cheers

Re: Who are your favourite boat bloggers / vloggers?

BTW, I know no self promotion and all. But it seems this list is asking for recommendations and I would love to hear some feedback from fellow sailors on my video. YouTube Resolute Sets Sail.

Thanks!

Thanks for the mention, GreenIssue. The followtheboat blog blog has been running for years but our video blog is more recent. We have 50 episodes of our complete boat refit, which started off as two minute updates and turned into fully-produced episodes, from the boat being stripped to her launch earlier this year:

After we launched we started taking our video blogs more seriously and are putting out content once every two weeks as our story unfolds. We're currently cruising Asia and recently bumped into Totem and crew (who feature in a couple of our refit videos). You can see the playlist here:

Apologies for the self promotion but us Brits are under-represented on the video blog front so we have to shout louder! Hope you enjoy the clips. Feel free to subscribe to our youtube channel.

Tasha is promising plenty of videos of their upcoming adventures around the world on their new catamaran, having the old Catalina 34 for sale -

My favorite sailing vlogger is Follow the Boat!

They (you) have a very nice mix of scenery, local knowledge shared, humor, music, sailing reality (things need fixing), and they have done an outstanding job of refitting a very nice boat.

The interactions of the two hosts, and their charming personalities and apparent affection for each other are nice to see too.

I have enjoyed each of their videos I have seen so far.
