Re: What's your boats name?

Lagoon 42 to be named:

Sea Tiger
and the dingy Tiger Tail

(We are all Clemson Tiger fans. My wife attended Clemson and my oldest son is in school there. Youngest son...15... wants to go to Clemson).
I am a surgeon and considered several medical variations such as Knot On Call, but had concerns about name appeal (or more important lack of appeal) when the time comes to find her a new owner.

Re: What's your boats name?

My current vessel is a Hallberg Rassy, "Joli Elle" (Pretty girl).
My Ingrid was "Silver Wolf" when I married her and renamed "Faiaoahe" (Fayaway)
My Tartan Blackwatch was "Brigadoon" which I renamed "Faiaoahe"
My Olympian 34 was "Gamblier" which was re-christened "Radiance"

Re: What's your boats name?

Ours is named Siren, after the Greek mythological women. As the Miriam Webster dictionary put it so well "a woman who is very attractive but also dangerous". Another definition that I like as well "a seductively beautiful or charming woman, especially one who beguiles men" I fell in love with this boat years ago, and had to wait for my situation to change...all the while she called out to me....I have also said to friends jokingly that this boat will be the death of me...a long time from now....

Re: What's your boats name?

My wife and I sold "Bonaventure" which was her name when we bought her 16 years ago. Having just bought another boat we decided to name her "Once Again" as in we are going sailing once again.

Re: What's your boats name?

Our motor boat is named : " Unplugged!"

On the boat, I feel UNPLUGGED from life's stresses.
coincidently, my father in law uses the term "unplugged" to refer to someone dying.... "Mrs Smith unplugged yesterday"

Does anyone want to say their boat's name after the words "Mayday mayday mayday"?

'reminds me of a favorite story. Once while diving north from Florida on I-95 we were passing Clemson fans on their way to the Gator Bowl. Our five year old son asked what all the flags on the cars with the orange paws were for and we told him that the Clemson Tigers were playing football. Our son looked puzzled and then said, "That won't be much of a game,- Clams don't have a chance against tigers!"

Re: What's your boats name?

Our boat is Catlypso. We are divers and it comes from Calypso, Jacques Cousteau's legendary boat combined with cat from catamaran. We are the only boat with that name as far as I can see, none on internet and none on AIS.

Our tender is Thunderbird 2. This is from the TV series Thunderbirds. T2 carried Thunderbird 4 which went underwater (like us).

We also know a boat called Best Seller (she is one and the money paid for the boat).

Make the name as easy to spell as possible, makes it a lot easier when logging in via radio.

And by any small chance was a fellow female crew member of your vessel completing her VHF course last Saturday?

Re: What's your boats name?

Present boat is named "Odin".

Needed a short name as the transom is narrow and Documentation rules says they have to be 4 inches tall. Big letters, short name.
Odin is an old Norse God that can kick Allah's ass anytime.

Re: What's your boats name?

"The Fecal Bouquet" seems to have stuck with mine. I didn't actually change the name from MerSea, but when the head exploded the day after I bought it from Redneck Randy and his poopjuice was all over the place, the name sort of stuck.
