What happens to all the wannabees?

Anybody know why the phone app crashes whenever you try to add a picture? Thought I'd add a couple before and current(unfinished) shots of the boat. Did some cosmetics before internal stuff just to get done before the rain sets in. Removed all the teak trim(and scrap plywood used in place of teak trim) cleaned and filled bolt heads and Re sealed the hull deck joint, saved and sanded down front trim, replaced all the aft trim with new teak.
Also trying to make the boat look better as we aren't allowed to live aboard here. The cosmetics go a long way to give me more credit as restoring a boat and working late vs another liveaboard floating derelict.
It's paid dividends already in terms of the perception here, the marina manager's attitude changed with the trim.

Well, there are a few of us wannabees out here, who read the forums, walk through marinas, and try to get on other peoples boat as often as possible. Right now I am just waiting for my business to sell so I have time to tackle, both my wife and a purchase a project boat, I think I may have more luck with the boat, than the wife saying "yes". Till then, I read, and dream, and yes I drive a '92 Land Cruiser.. Someday I will have my Tripp design...once I sell my business....

it is amazing what a difference a bit of tlc and a coat of paint can make

too true! the return on the investment of time,effort is all worth it when you get to see advice that one has given or recieved used to the benefit of others,
nothing pleases me more than to hear about the adventures of crew that i have taught to be cruisers on our circumnavigations and deliveries,when they too get there own boat or become professional skippers

good attitude,joining a sailing club is a great way to learn and meet other sailing folk
