Watermakers - Both 12vdc and Manual Operation

Does anyone have feedback/experience about a marine watermaker that will run on 12V and can also be used manually? It needs to be lightweight, small and produce enough water onboard for 4 people.

I think you're going to have difficulties finding a manual watermaker to make enough water for four people. someone would have to be pumping it all day to make that kind of water.

Re: Watermakers- both 12v and manual operation

The 40E has an Output of 1.50 gal/h (± 15%), using about 4A @ 12VDC, or about 1.6 gal/h in manual operation @ 30 pump strokes per minute.
Not a lot, but sufficient for 4 people at an operating time of about 4 to 5 hours (power).
