Congrats on the new boat. Looks to be in decent shape. You are going to rename it right or does the significant other approve?

Hey, Philip,

Congrats on your new girl. I work at Ross Marine (a boat yard) on the icw just south of Charleston. Let me know if I can help in any way on your trip.

Re: The Nauti One, an Endeavor 32

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Please pardon my inattention to this thread. I'm still sealing deck hatches and weather is on the way. The CGFI circuit failed and I lost Shore power. When I installed a new unit, I lost Batteries. Think I shorted my charger.

Apologies to Wolfgal. I didn't catch what my auto-correct did.

As Arnie once said, I'll be Bach!

We will all enjoy your journey along with you.
Thank you for your kind words and vote of confidence. I finally got time over a cup of coffee to continue in my correspondence.

I woke up before dawn to the sound of rain on deck. I felt some trepidation as I had been rebuilding hatches and portholes all week. Only one small spot. Should be an easy fix. Still waiting on a delivery before I can shut off. Shouldn't be long now.

I'm looking forward to reading your blog as well!

In keeping in pace with our reputation of being hospitable, let me know if/when you stop in the Charleston area and need to do a supplies/food-run.
Thank you for that. Sorry it's taking so long. I've been working night and day getting this boat ready to sail. My hope is to make Georgetown by the weekend.

I have a friend ashore that will be helping set up the blog. I brought a phone and a tablet for navigation planning and communication. But I'll keep you in the loop and I'll post the links in my signature as soon as they are available.

Looking forward to our visit. Be well.

Hey skipper, thank you. Likewise congratulations on the Islander. As for the previous owner, who knows, they might be related.

I look forward to following your blog and future posts as the story continues.
Very encouraging to know that the kindness and hospitality of the boating community is still intact.

Thank you Mark. Yes, so far it has been a very heartening experience. I look forward to getting the blog started. In the meantime just collecting photos and stories.

Yes, you are right on all counts. She looks great, is a lot of work and is certainly a labor of love. Thanks for the congrats. It turns out that she was slightly used and pretty well maintained except for the last couple of years. Most of the work is cosmetic. Be well and thanks again.

Hey, I resemble that remark! Well not really. The guy was looking for a tax write-off anyway. I think I prefer the term fortunate. But getting out like a bandit is not all bad.

Keep the compliments coming. The boat and I are both smiling. Thanks for the offer! I just may take you up on that.

Thank you, thank you! (Takes a bow.) I think I rename it next season. My Admiral is aware the boat came with the name and not the other way around.

Many thanks Scott for the kind words and kinder offer. I'll be sure and let you know when I'm in your neck of the woods. Hopefully, all I'll need her things for the tummy and not for the boat.

I thought you might find this interesting. She's a 1979 model. Look what I found on the underside of the bilge hatch.
