Seems to me a “hip tow” from an outboard powered
dinghy would be the way to go. The frame
concept can go wrong in a lot of ways. Even at its best, the frame would only be superior to a hip tow because of the drag from the bottom of the
dinghy. That won’t be too much, and the dinghy would be a much better platform for the outboard than the frame; you could almost think of the dinghy as a ‘floating frame’ that you lash on. 2 people would make this job 100x easier. Good luck.
