Re: Sympathy Posts Accepted

Good to have you up and about. After my last surgery I felt like the doc had pumped me up about 3 waist sizes. Finally it went away.
Here's a little bit of advice. Try to get into abdominal exercises as soon as your doc says its ok. I lapsed too long and developed back spasm because of it and it was nearly as bad as having the stupid surgery.
Good luck in a speedy recovery.

Re: Sympathy Posts Accepted

My 18 year old niece had an emergency appendectomy last month, TWO WEEKS after having a tonsillectomy. Poor kid, losing all her spare parts at once. Hope you feel better soon, it's never fun.

And you came on a sailing forum blatantly seeking sympathy posts?
Am I the only one finding this a tad weird?

I would expect someone to mention an appendectomy in regards to offshore medical concerns, but soliciting sympathy? And then GETTING it!

No you're not.
And there has been "strange" posts lately on this forum making me wonder where it is all going...

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
