SUMP Pump bypassed - wooden hull - new shower

A few years ago my Sump pump started to fall apart so now the shower runs directly into.the main bilge. It is a 1969 36' fairliner with a wooden hull. Ive been using the onboard shower recently. Am I running the risk of damaging the hull with the freshwater from the shower? Can I sink my boat this way, or will soft spots begin developing on the inside of the hull?

The shower water will rot the wood. Buy or build a sump as soon as possible. For now get some rock salt or borate and put a bunch in all along the bilge. About 10 pounds. Borate can be had at a log home supply. Rock salt at a commercial fishing dock or supply. Salt will help preserve wood.
I had a yard known for building and repairing large wood boats. Shower water, soap and so on will rot the wood, probably the ribs first if the boat is in salt water. It usually doesn't take a long time to damage the wood.
