Re: Sign the petition to prosecute the Lake County Sheriff that killed the sailor

But you do here. Of all the forums I'm on, this is the only one that would hurt to be banned.

Re: Sign the petition to prosecute the Lake County Sheriff that killed the sailor

Meh... We save the bans mostly for outright, posting from an Indian ISP, semi incoherent pitch for buying stolen credit cards. You would be AMAZED at how many of those come thru the back room!

Fer miscreants like yourself, who get outta hand late in the evening, occasionally after a few, we deliver a very stern, serious, pretentious "Official Warning". The moderation equivalent of a slap on the wrist.

And like a misdemeanor for an under 18 year old, they go away after a year...

I promise we will be gentle with you if you ever find yourself in our clutches ; -)

Re: Sign the petition to prosecute the Lake County Sheriff that killed the sailor

For me it is never late night alcohol fueled rants, but rather a thin, smokey haze induced experimental thread starting like the age progression thread and kids cruising thread.

This one explains the smokey haze. lol

I hope so, but stalled again with only 22 more signatures needed. Some of you good folks that have already signed, check to see if your spouse or adult off spring will sign it. Would be great to have this wrapped up by this weekend.

What sort of justice is going on in Lake County?

The district attorney must prosecute someone regardless of evidence if a petition with enough signatures is received?

Sounds like vigilante justice to me.

Also, those signatures don't even have to be from the courts jurisdiction?

You can get 1,000 signatures globally to prosecute the pope if you wanted to.

I have no opinion about guilt or innocence. I debated this at length when it happened but if the Lake County prosecutor won't prosecute maybe the good people of Lake County should vote him out, not gather a lynch mob.

This whole thread is total BS...

Re: Sign the petition to prosecute the Lake County Sheriff that killed the sailor

The DA in this case was later voted out. The cop, after the DA was voted out, was canned but then got himself hired by the fire district on the board. That entire lake area is populated by retired LEO and is the definition of the good old boy's network.

Some how I just can't see a petition as a "lynch mob" or "vigilante justice". You have no opinion on guilt or innocence yet you seem to be judging peoples pro-activeness towards having the Sheriff at least investigated for his actions. If the thread is BS, then why bother with it?
