Yes, please don't forget! I don't get anywhere near enough time "out there" so a visitor demanding a ride out to the islands is just what the doctor ordered for me too!

Re: Shout out

The sailing is world class, there are no friendlier people anywhere, the weather is perfect, great marinas everywhere . . . you gotta come up.

Re: Shout out

What kind of boat do you have? What others have you owned or sailed on? Where are you planning to sail to in the Spring when you are better? Look forward to you joining in the converstions in various threads here on CF until then.

Re: Shout out

Hi Clamdigger. Our current boat is a MacGregor 23 which has been so much more fun than expected. I’m getting set to start restoring a Hunter 30 which I’m quite excited about. We’ll sail that all around the Maritimes, up the beautiful St. John River and possibly south in the not too distant future.
I started sailing on a Morse dinghy when I was 12 so my sailing history is long and varied but I’ve only been cruising for a few years and I plan to spend a good part of whatever future I’m granted, making up for lost time.
I really appreciate your taking the time to reach out and I definitely plan to become part of the conversation. This forum is terrific.

Hang in there and keep fighting, HB. I've know plenty of people that have kicked cancer's butt and went on to live full lives. We'll help keep your mind occupied, in the meantime.

Hi John. Thanks for your note. I’m definitely going to be one of those people. Helps so much to hear from encouraging fellow sailors. BTW, love the name of your boat.

Too funny. Guess we’ve all gotta be from someplace, right? Bless your heart for taking the time to post.
