Share Some Age Progression Pictures

I started a thread in "Our community" about how I'm a sucker for clicking on the pictures that constantly change on the forum's header if they depict kids in the cruising world, and after some posts to it, David_Old_Jersey steered to age progression. If you know me, you know that as the OP of any thread, I don't care how off topic it gets, but in this case I thought I would run with it here and a new topic. If you have the time, dig up some old pictures of yourself, scan them and share. There are a lot of members here that I would enjoy seeing what they looked like in the "old" days.

This is the result of working at sea and not just enjoying the cruising lifestyle. Didn't age too gracefully did I? Picture from last year. The motto here, enjoy the sea, don't make it a job.

I'm throwing this one in, Mary Ann took the above picture while I was taking her picture on 395 northbound in Nevada.

Yeah, that is what I'm talking about. Didn't recognize you without the tie.

It's funny because I never wear ties. I think the last time I wore one was to take that picture in my silly captain's shirt.

No Bob, Squaw Valley, getting ready to drop into Shirley Lake. Look closely, I'm wearing Lange boots the first year they came out. Back then, the boot and bladder didn't mold to your foot and ankle, your foot had to mold to it...ouch!

Well I hope you age more gracefully than I did after working at sea.

It's a part time thing for me, and 9/10 I'm in the harbor teaching people how to sail or other types of 100 ton stuff. At least with my little girl running around the idea of going out on deliveries or doing offshore work doesn't appeal to me.

I applied for a job with vessel assist being on call at nights; the tow boat is maybe a half mile from where we liveaboard so it's pretty convenient. More than happy to limit the offshore work to the occasional sport fisher run.

Re: Share some age progression pictures

Not a lot online (and some strange choices by me ).

The cute one on the right

That was me in 'Nam

In Spain - 21? (mid 80's)

Mid 20's? - I was at a Barmitzvah (early 90's)

2006 - DOJ in Thailand - at the Seaside (Not Pattaya!)

2007 - Wedding Photo (all hired - for the photos only!, a couple of weeks after the Registry Office do!.....and her hair extention was also hired!). First time I had seen her wearing a dress . Doesn't look nearly as scary as she did in real life .

2006 - a bit more like her!...my kinda woman!

2007? - trying to look "Corporate"

A couple of years back

As Boatman61 pointed out in the other thread - cute kinda wore off .

What's up with the epic tall girl off on the right in each shot? Her hairspay must have contributed to much of the ozone depletion.

Hahaha. I am sure it probably did help deplete the ozone layer and add to global warming issues. She's one of the teachers by the way.

Re: Share some age progression pictures

hmmm...
I never liked getting my picture taken when I was a kid. That's why I don't have any.

Parents have them all. (and plenty)

Now I feel like I'm getting to know you people. And D_O_J, Pattaya was our turn around port aboard the SeaLand Developer. Fun place, plenty of expats to hire for night mates so that we could go ashore. Depending on arrival time, either two nights and one day or two days and one night in port. Fun fun fun.
