Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?

I've met a few CFers who posted just a couple of times and then I never saw them posting again.
I'm thinking that it was something I did that chased them off.

Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?

We had a "mod mash" about two years ago on the SF Bay. Most of the mod staff attended. One came all the way from Australia. It was great to meet the people who run this forum.

Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?

We met the once elusive MarkJ in Georgetown, Exumas and then caught up again with him in Marsh Harbor, Abaco...he is even more fun than his posts...in the Exumas we met Mark on a friend's boat, another Wauquiez, where he, being the ever classy cruiser, brought pate to the sundowner get together. He is just as fun in person as he is on Cruiser's forum...we were glad to have had the chance to meet him! I will post photos once I find a place to ftp them where I can supply a link...

pirate Re: Run Into Any CruisersForum Folks?

Hmmm... lets see...
Atoll... Falmouth..
SimonMD... he joined the boat Baiona, I left the boat in Duquesa....lol.
Eleven... Crewed a Catalac with me..
Torquedo... St Martin if its the same guy who makes the Nimble Navigator program.
Jedi... Panama...
Flysci... Panama.... Sure there were more and we had some folks from there join.. sorry I firgit the CF names..
Pt Louis, Vanuatu... Really nice guy but I'm damned if I remember his CF name..
Wotname... Perth, W.A. rode to the rescue in his White Van Man superhero role and saved me from the Witch of the West... along with Tim Cocks who I've elected as a Honorary CF'r..
And I've delivered a few boats for members who are not so active and I never did learn their CF names... others became members..
As for the CF pennant.. it flutters proudly at the yardarm 24/7 whichever boat I'm on...
Figure its only fair I give folks a chance to get the hell away...

I've probably met several dozens but never new nor gave it much thought.

Technically BlackOak is the only member I know personally.

Funny that, I've yet to see any other boat in our part of the world showing the CF burgee.
