OK, going to inspect a Hunter 260. Price is good, and not too far to sail back (~80 miles). It doesn't have a trailer but the price reflects that.

Magic Tilt made the trailers for these boats. The model was discontinued in 2004, I think, but MT may still have the specs and could make you one. Figure $1500 if you can't find a used one (you probably can't).

These boats have a history of rudder failures. They were under-engineered and had a propensity to snap in half. If I bought one and the rudder was original I would replace it. The price of a new blade is worth not having a very bad day on the water.

Other than that, these are good boats for what they are.

I am now the "Proud" owner of a Hunter 260. Now I need to make it mine. Raymarine EV-100 Autopilot with Axiom 7 MFD and chirp, received today. This will keep me busy for a couple of days.
