Re: Power Boats/sail boats

I've come across anoying boaters before but from your description, it sounds like you put yourself into the situation and then escalated it with bluff and bravado as opposed to diplomacy. Reading between the lines, if the tone of your posting was similar to your attitude with the guy, I could see him taking it poorly.

It wasn't seculded if there were 8-10 other boats in the bay. Also you don't clarify was this the middle of the afternoon or 2am. That makes a big difference in my mind. Someone having some fun mid afternoon on a busy holiday weekend deserves a lot more tolerance than at 2am.

Valhalla, I guess you had to be there. I started with diplomacy and in the end I wasn't bluffing. It was 1830 hours. it is generally a very quiet spot, no roads, no electricity, no houses, just ospreys, eagles, seals and maybe 5 or 10 boats on a busy weekend. anarchy in the anchorage is no Valhalla.
