I just returned from a sailing vacation
in the Abaco
Islands. We visited Powell Cay - our favorite anchorage of the trip. Posted to a tree, on the beach, on the Sea of Abaco
side of the island was a very nice metal plaque dedicated to Col. George Dawes and his wife Jean Dawes. Apparently he was a retired marine
(USMC) and they were sailors who loved the island of Powell Cay. I have not been able to find any more information about who these people are. Just curious about who these people were. Does anyone have any information?
