I bought an old one about 5 years ago, completely seized, cracked casting,
and wrong sized chain gypsy
Rebuilt it myself, new bushings, welded casting, and recut worn keyways and regalvanised handle and found correct gypsy
in scap heap. $300- invested.
Its been going like a German marching band ever since. I love it. Would love to know what the engineering term/ design of the free floating spring loaded cog ratchet mechanism is called.
