It was put out as a completely impromptu streaker that just happened to run across the stage. Nobody supposedly knew about it and the streaker was "arrested". Nivin was supposed to have adlibed it.

Re: Jolly Roger, Pirates and Political Correctness
A lot of people are 1) awfully concerned with what other people are doing, and 2) awfully judgemental.... If the people you're complaining about aren't harming anyone or anything, aside from your sensibilities, what does it matter?
Seems the people who ditch the 9-5 slavedrive to live aboard likely wouldn't give a hoot about "what other people think of them", so I wouldn't hold out much hope of that changing..

So in your world it's perfectly OK to deliberately harm someone else's sensibilities?

I certainly don't go out of my way to antagonize people; however, as with the thread on naked boating, if someone has an issue with something I am doing visually they are certainly free to look elsewhere.
It's not as if I'm advocating for people, flying a Jolly Roger on their boat, to go and forcibly board the boats of other people for heaven's sake. If there's anything that anyone doesn't like about how someone else's boat looks, or the flags they are flying (official regulations aside)....maybe they find something else to look at? God knows there are plenty of things out there to see.

Re: Jolly Roger, Pirates and Political Correctness
I recently acquired a yellow 12x24-inch "Don't Tread On Me" flag. Intend to fly it after my boat returns from the boatyard.

Re: Jolly Roger, Pirates and Political Correctness
There were Pirates who fought for Freedom in the American Revolution.
They were hero’s. England looked upon anyone fighting in the revolution against them as criminals, and PIRATES. If the Crown had captured George Washington they would have hung him. John Pual Jones the father of the American Navy never stepped foot on American soil. He would have been hung by the yard arm…as a PIRATE.
I fly two flags…that of the United States of America, and the Italian flag. I am a citizen of both countries. Most of the world does not like Americans. Yet they flock to our shores.
We are still PIRATES… PIRATES who fight for freedom as those in our revolution did. We have expanded, now we do it around the world.
Would I fly the skull, and Cross bones? After reading these post…I think I will.

I've traveled in over twenty countries. If those people don't like Americans, they are very good at hiding that feeling in my presence.

Dude! Tell me you're not dissing my man! He is rather Viking-like in appearance, which I dig hugely. I'm sure he could get away with a pirate getup, were he so inclined..
