Insurance Recommendation for Bareboat Charter to Caribbean?

My wife and I are planning a bareboat charter to the Caribbean this June. In the past, we have used the travel insurance recommended by the charter company. However, upon examining the travel insurance contract, there are a couple of issues:

1. The couple joining us if from Tennessee, and residents from TN are NOT covered for inclement weather (read Hurricanes). We, from FL, are covered! (Each state has a separate contract).

2. Pre-existing conditions within 180 days are excluded. My wife's father has many medical issues. An insurance representative confirmed if he had issues related to any of his present medical issues, the travel insurance would not apply.

I'm interested in learning about any travel insurance that I should consider.
