Insurance and ocachobe canal info needed

My boat is in Guatelmala and I am thinking of sailing her back to the US. My insurance doesn't cover the US and Boats US wants the boat to be in the US to provide cover. I am also thinking of making the trip via the Ocachobee canal but with a mast height of 49'2" am not sure if we can make it. Anyone have experience of being heeled over to clear the bridge? plus insurance companies who cover the trip?
